There are healthy debates and a lot of innovation in conversation. - Good benefits and great pay! - Remote work. So long as you have good internet, you can work or live anywhere. - Learn and gain a lot of personal and professional skills. - Your input is highly valued! - There is a lot of trust between coworkers and upper management. - Very understanding when family needs or other needs outside of work pop up and you need to take time off.

- Internal communication can be lacking. Just be the go-getter and be in charge if you have to to help mitigate this. Don't be afraid to continuously ask for something if it's affecting the completion of projects from others. - There is no structure to training. You have to ask for help. There are brilliant minds who work here, and they know a lot so just ask! Also, do a lot of research on your own and come to them with questions.

SNic is a great example of a company where the owners have listened to their staff and made fundamental, positive changes based on their feedback. When I was offered a senior management role at SNic 3 years back, I was worried to see some negative reviews on Glassdoor. When asked, the CEO, Nikhil Joshi, explained that, yes, they had received some poor reviews, and were suffering from some morale issues. He convinced me that he was taking this seriously, undertaking several changes internally to address the problems; management changes and efforts to improve the overall culture and experience for employees. To Nikhil's credit, since joining I have been involved in the biggest change in company culture and management style that I have seen in my 30+ years in the industry. SNic is now ahead of industry norms for both staff retention and employee satisfaction rating. --- Career opportunities - 5 stars SNic's business involves selling and implementing complex software delivery and integration projects, as well as developing its own software. The business has grown rapidly in the past couple of years with more than 40% delivery team expansion in the past year, and new products being bought in to the portfolio. That has led to a lot of opportunities for learning and opened up new career paths for employees. I feel that career growth for employees is genuinely something that is considered highly important. --- Compensation and Benefits - 4 stars Compensation is competitive with the market. SNic is still a relatively small company compared to some of its competition, so they aren't paying the very highest salaries out there, but merit-based salary increases keep employees' pay competitive. Benefits are good (e.g. in the US, we have family medical insurance including vision and dental). -- Culture and Values - 5 stars Already discussed above - very good culture and work environment. -- Diversity and Inclusion - 4 stars SNic has a diverse group of employees that work in the US, Canada, India, Brazil, and 1 guy in Madagascar! The work is very collaborative in nature so we get to work together a lot, learning about each others' cultures. Our development team has a good mix between male and female engineers - around 50/50. I'd like to see more women in some of the other roles. -- Senior Management I didn't rate this since I'm part of the senior management team and so I'd be a bit biased! However, I can say that my CEO is great to work for - he has a great vision for the organization and although demanding, he genuinely cares about the people his company employees. -- Work/Life Balance - 5 stars SNic gives us a good amount of flexibility in working time and location, with most staff choosing to work remotely from home. Our leave policy is based on an unlimited leave model and allows for all the different national and religious holidays that come with having people spread far and wide. Sticking to a 40-hour work week is encouraged and is generally achieved by most of the staff with the odd exception during critical project activities. No-one is working crazy amounts of hours.

Not the best fit if you are someone that prefers to work permanently in an office environment. We have a few people that choose to work in our offices, but the vast majority prefer to work remotely. Similarly, if you need the kind of precisely defined, time-tested structure and processes that a giant consulting firm offers, understand that SNic might be a challenge. As the organization grows, it is building those processes out, but overall it has more of a startup feel than a corporate one. I personally prefer the challenge of that and the opportunities that accompany it, but it might not be for everyone.
