Hours could be better for staff

Providing a very needed service to save lives and quality of life for patients who might not otherwise receive such care. Some co-workers were great and I enjoyed working with them.

Influx of venture capital lead to sudden growth which management did not know how to implement. Needed physical and administrative infrastructure not in place before large numbers of employees/contractors brought on board. New employees often left to fend for themselves as training and onboarding process -- all the way back to the hiring process -- is essentially non-existent. Constant cash flow / cash management problems. Money spent on commercial to be played on airplanes but nickel-and-dime mentality when it comes to tools needed to perform tasks. Needed staff cut. Bills not paid on time. Credit cards needed for daily operations frequently reach daily limit or even expire (surprise!) Long-time IT staff have stereotypical superior, judgmental attitude towards users who are not management. New business not won at predicted rate, and then when it did start coming in, did not have the staff to implement it in a timely way. Patient care in danger of suffering as a result. Stated desire to implement systems and process in lieu of long-time chaos countered by constant mantra of "We're a start-up, dammit! We fly by the seat of our pants and you just have to deal with it!" Basically, great service and potentially great company suffering because management can't find their a** with both hands.
