Pros
At SOLUTE I have worked with sharp engineers and can use the latest technologies (slack, gitlab, etc) - which is different from most defense contractors. You also have the latitude to impact company direction based on your experience and knowledge. The pay is competitive and there is opportunity to work on diverse projects with other companies and directly with the government.
Cons
Some of the work is on-site at a customer, which can be fun, but makes it hard to integrate with other engineers at SOLUTE. The PTO policy could use updating to allow for growth based on time of service.
