Pros
Some of my fellow colleagues are absolutely lovely to work with and form a bond where we try to look out for each other and care. This is how i believe a work place should be. It's also nice that some of the customers have formed subtle friendships with the staff, which makes it a very friendly environment.
Cons
As i mentioned prior, only some are lovely to work with. This is the equivalent of 4 out of 8 other staff. The others generally don't do any work, chat at extreme volume across the store and put a work load on others who are not supposed to do such work. My bosses attitude to mistakes is also terrible as for example when i drive-off occurs, the blame is put on the Till operator immediately, even though its out of the till operators control. This, to me, is bad management technique as even though punishment should be administrated where needed, a boss should look after their staff too. Another thing is poor communication. It can take over a week for the whole staff to know what they need to know. For example, I will never be told what the upsell is and when asking, they may not know either. Lastly, the management of certain staff is terrible. Some members "borrow" lighters because they forgot them, eat food whilst serving or managing product in the warehouse or even doing nothing and blaming it on the till operator (which was later proven as her excuse didn't match evidence).
