Pros
Exposure to reputable clientele and opportunities. If you're lucky, you get the chance to work on really interesting projects that looks great on your portfolio. If you're starting out with no experience, this is a good place to start off your career, absorb like a sponge and learn everything from scratch. They welcome fresh grads and newbies as long as you're willing to learn. Bonus package can be pretty attractive if you're able to perform.
Cons
Great opportunities aside... - Teamwork is minimal due to weak company ties & culture - Boss can be temperamental (anticipate scream & shouts) - Lack of consistent meetings and communication with upper management because the boss is too busy - Things can accumulate to a huge mess if you do not know how to accommodate to your boss' busy schedule and lack of replies - Bad work-life balance (though it's something you should be expecting if you're in the events industry)
