Pros

Folks are passionate about there work and sharing that passion with others in the Indusrty. Good product perks and industry benefits from industry network. Potential for travel and working or transferring to other domestic or international locations. Real corporate culture to grown cycling and support cycling infrastructure growth. Low turnover.

Cons

Cross functional support is tough. As they grow through acquiring other companies, overcoming cultural differences between different locations is challenging. They lack a tradition of mentoring younger managers or defining a career path in any capacity. Pay could be more competitive, but perks and travel can offset here.

Pros

In general, SRAM is very easy going and it's an environment that isn't confrontational or competitive. Leadership is focused on employees and is very approachable. I feel a lot of security in my job and that I'd have a job here forever if I choose to stay. There's a lot of professional autonomy.

Cons

For being a larger company, there's no structure for teaching employees how to do a job or process. They are trying to create some structure, but most processes are half-baked and not detailed enough to actually do it correctly. Leadership is really nice, but is lacking the "leadership" qualities that facilitate departments sharing information, best practices and growth. If I want to grow and learn, I need to seek out my own training.
