Pros
Steris is strongly invested in creating opportunities for employees to grow both professionally and personally. They offer lots of free online courses and cross-training between departments so that you can gain lots of skills and experience as you like. They're also very flexible with scheduling and genuinely work hard to provide a friendly and supportive environment. This company also hires workers straight out of high school and college (depending on the role), promotes quickly from within, and is very understanding/accepting that many workers are there for a year or so of experience before moving on; this leads them to then focus on helping their workers pick up necessary skills before continuing with school, etc.
Cons
Some of the upper levels of management don't attempt to initiate conversation or small talk with the low-level workers during their occasional visits and some of the respect and appreciation that they might otherwise have had. These managers also don't do a very good job of sending back materials in a timely fashion before the day's testing and will sometimes change testing mere hours before it begins. Luckily, these managers don't come in very often and only change testing schedules every once in a while.
