Pros

Great pay; above minimum wage

Cons

- Every weekend (Fri-Sun) from sun up to sun down you belong to the company - Regularly worked long hours, up to 9.5hr shifts without overtime pay - You receive your 7 days (56hrs) sick pay at the beginning of the year which is also not replenished. If used in its entirety prior to the end of year and you need to call out, you must receive a doctor’s note to excuse the absence if not you will be written up - Very odd strict policy on gossiping (for obvious reasons bc the job is sh*t) caught “gossiping” you will automatically receive a final write up - Has allowed Trump supporting staff with multiple HR complaints to continue working for the business… - S.O.Ps continuously change to accommodate impulsive decisions made by the company; no real stability - Piercing apprenticeship program is a month and 2 weeks which isn’t suitable enough time to allow new piercers to actually learn the ear anatomy, perform piercings safely and bedside manners if accidents occur - Promotion with in the company? Tuh! Forget about it! If you’re good at your role they want you to stay right there. Will hire outside candidates for staff to “train” although there are more than qualified people within the company to step into the role - There isn’t any formal training for SM, ASM or Supervisors. Kinda thrown to the wolves and wished good luck

Pros

As a piercer, I was given flexibility and ownership of my role. I got along well with my coworkers, and my input was taken into consideration.

Cons

No cons. It was a supportive and collaborative work environment with plenty of room to grow.

Pros

my coworkers are great. you get a 50% employee discount (which still isn't that good because the jewelry is overpriced and cheap) you have better chances of joining the piercing apprenticeship if you work FOH (if you can stand working FOH that long)

Cons

they give you either 5 hours a week or 40, no in between. they also change the schedule all the time without telling you about the changes. the managers are toxic. constantly creating new rules and leaving you confused. expectations are WAY too high - blames the lack of traffic and purchases on FOH. as of January 2026 - they lowered the pay. FOH used to be paid around 22 an hour, and are now paid 19.50. also lowered pay for piercers. ceo doesn't know what shes doing and also doesn’t care about you. they pretend to be super progressive, but are tailored and marketed towards one kind of person. they hate promoting their workers! you have to prove yourself to the moon and back (and more) to even be heard out.
