Nice employees. The property managers are great.

Be cautious of this company. I was given misinformation throughout my entire interview process and some of my employment. First, I was told I would not work every weekend. On my first day, I learned I would in fact work every weekend. And if I needed a weekend off, I was scheduled to work 10 days in a row. Because the hours are shorter on the weekend, I also wasn’t making 40 hours a week. I lost out on a lot of money, and had virtually no work/life balance because of it. I stuck through it because I thought the company would make up for it at some point. I was so wrong. They told me they would pay me to get my leasing license. A month later, they said never mind because they learned it wasn’t legally required in this case. I asked if I could get it myself, and was told it wouldn’t be possible with this company. I was told that by someone whose bio on the company website listed that she had her leasing license. I wish I took these red flags more seriously, and I definitely wish I didn't waste my time putting in a notice when I left. Most of the people are nice, so I thought I should be professional and put in a 3 weeks notice. I worked extremely hard to get leases in that time, and on my second to last shift, I was told I wasnt going to be paid for any of those leases if the move-in dates were after my last day because it is “policy”. I also was not going to be paid a bonus I earned for referring someone to a position which had been vacant for a long time. I would like to note, after I gave my notice I was encouraged to lease (which I did-thinking I could rack up commission) before I left, and I was asked if I had anyone to refer for my position. So, I guess I was expected to do those things for just my low hourly wage, and not for the only benefit of the job-which is commission and bonuses. This company took advantage of me in my last days. Another huge problem I hope the corporate office can resolve is that things change on short notice and the on-site team is usually last to know. Our input on the matters also don’t matter, but we are expected to deal with all the customer service issues that occur as a result. There were times where the leasing manager and I were not told about something, and only found out because a resident brought it to our attention. That looks so unprofessional.The hours also change with no notice. The people are nice though. If you think that makes up for it, you may enjoy this job (unless you work weekends- they are horrible for so many reasons).

No company culture-no sharing good news of other people in company, new properties in company (even your own area) No training/standard procedures-what's posted in the online guides is not current and doesn't reflect current processes No organization-no one in upper management knows what each other is doing; one person says to do things one way and then 3 others tell you something different, changes every month. Unexplained policies are set by centralized support team and onsite and regional management aren't made aware or a part of the process Accounting team is a mess, onsite management has to do their job, send reports when they are due and not accurate because they want it early. Send reports and accounting doesnt even use them and they send messages all day asking questions if they simply look at what's being sent to them. Requests and emails to corporate departments go unanswered, making employees feel unvalued.
