Pros

Caring about people and mentoring of fresh graduates. Big focus on quality over time. Very wide array of projects, entities and geographies.

Cons

Very disparate culture, performance and leadership styles depending on "Legacy entity" : former Snecma group vs former Sagem group. Not international enough in terms of recruitment, management practices and senior leadership development track; Too much inertia and too vertical in terms of organisation and leadership: bottom-up feedback is virtually non-existant. If not french, top graduate schools are a bit underrated/undervalued: only l'X, Sup'Aero, Centrale Paris and HEC will be a serious advantage

Pros

People are treated very well at Safran. They might not be the highest paying Aerospace company in the USA, but they have great benefits, management, and people. And still, the pay is usually competitive.

Cons

The headquarters are in France and therefore you need to be open to a different culture. Additionally, French and English are used sometimes in communications.

Pros

Many learning opportunities for troubleshooting different types of avian generator control units. Opportunities to work with a variety of engineering departments including production, test, quality, and industrialization. Occasional overtime opportunities.

Cons

High stress due to production deadlines, especially at the end of month. Miscommunications due to constant reprioritizing of needs. Difficult to move from short term (1 year+ only) contracts to full time positions.
