Pros

Really great team of Setters/operators, programming department is on the whole great. If you can get on to it, there is a heap of education available (or so we are told in the induction) Ok money.

Cons

Well where do we begin, I have never worked for such an inept manager. No knowledge of the industry he was in. Lacked any form of communication within the team which lead to low morale. Major safety concerns were raised but either laughed at or pushed to one side (HSE should investigate level issues) Quality, the same manager once stated that if something passes an FAI inspection report but we know it to be wrong (out of spec, wrong material etc etc.) Just to run the job and not worry, not in keeping with the high standards expected within the industry. Machines are poorly maintained, the building leaks. If your face fits you will go from zero to the top no questions asked. If you know your stuff but rub the grain the wrong way, expect to find them pushing you out the door. Senior members from other departments form an opinion off staff without knowing their credentials which came apparent upon leaving the company. Expect to be forever chasing your tail, no proper planning in place, deadlines never met. Amazing they have any customers left! With threat of their current largest order leaving there are serious concerns regarding job security. If you are below grade 2 (so an operator) don't expect to be taken on perm. They also have a huge problem respecting temporary staff. Last thing, the machine shop is stuck 15 years behind anywhere else. And there new outlook with Mazak is the biggest crock of lies you'll ever see.
