Mixed priorities - Outpatient Therapist Sagent Behavioral Health Employee Review

Pros

Flexibility with your schedule, remote position

Cons

The company’s priorities are not in the right place, especially being a mental health company. They focus more on quantity over quality. Clinicians scrape by while they merge with other clinic, add new ones, and invest in poor marketing campaigns. I was promised to have a major say over the type of clients I would see, but that was quite the opposite. My supervisor seemed to care more about covering her butt, rather than actually supporting me. When I asked for help, I became micromanaged. When I didn’t ask for help, no one would reach out for weeks or months to check in. Heavy caseloads, in an isolated environment with little to no support.

Pros

Supervision and some internal CEUs are provided. You can be flexible with your schedule. My office is very supportive and I have good coworkers.

Cons

I was warned about burnout and too many clients, but my experience was the opposite. I have not been able to build a caseload in a year and am being forced to part-time with loss of some benefits because there aren't enough intakes. I am not the only person in my office experiencing this. The pay is low as well, there is no stipend or reimbursement for training outside of the company even while the company does not offer specific modality training, and the company has cut salary pay model as well as cutting several holidays including Juneteenth. The company's actions continue to show that they care for profit over people.
