Extremely Disappointing For Mental Health - Patient Experience Advocate Salience Health Employee Review

Pros

You have an opportunity to touch the lives of patients from small to big interactions no matter your position and the pay rate was worthwhile.

Cons

They constantly told me one thing and stated they were understanding when I experienced consistent lack of understanding when it came to being a working mom. The lack of communication from supervisors and higher up staff made situations difficult to navigate. You can never be late even by two minutes or miss a day due to being sick as they have no tolerance for absences so if you get sick or have kids I would not recommend employment through salience. They ended up trying to push me to constantly leave to take care of my child or leave because I was sick only to reprimand me upon returning. I don’t agree with any employer telling personnel something is okay to do or that there will be grace extended if there’s constant criticism and write ups. For a growing company they seem to lack complete empathy for employees. They fire people out of nowhere but then promote people too prematurely. Salience seems to protect some employees no matter the mistakes while hanging others out to dry. Clinic staff talk poorly about patients no matter their situation and it’s hard to be subject to this kind of behavior. Supervisors and higher ups seem to be afforded protections to ask low level clinic staff in appropriate and insensitive questions about your mental health to use against you. They push metrics way too much and are not mental health pioneers like they claim to be. Very disappointing.

Pros

Helping patients, a lot of great employees and doctors. Truly getting to make a a difference helping patients and physicians. High earning potential

Cons

Lots of favoritism from upper management. If not a favorite they'll leave you isolated until you burn out, lack of support from non clinical teams. Missing/late paychecks. 401k and insurnace deductions from paychecks but not contributed to respective funds
