Pros

The company has history with the customer.

Cons

-Safety not a concern. Many employees work alone. The number of attacks on employees has increased. (Fact) -Supplies are cut off without warning. Employees don’t even have toilet paper half the time. (Fact) -“Executive” level field management are hired from prior companies that they have assisted in driving into bankruptcy or do not have experience for that position. Hiring people that have either not worked in the field or haven’t in decades. (Fact) -Want associates to know the numbers while giving them less than 20 hour. Literally had to learn the “Sales Equation” by heart. This was the most illogical thing I have ever seen. Literally had to teach senior manager basic 5th grade math. (Fact) -When there are any issues that require assistance from Home Office, either there isn’t anyone to answer the phone or they are so overworked, new, or confused that they are extremely rude. Then an email is sent out to 2 or 3 levels of senior field management in order to reprimand for calling. (Fact) -Has an “open communication” Facebook group that is closely monitored. If any associate tries to post something that is not positive, the post is blocked. Then an email is sent to 2 or 3 levels of senior field management to reprimand the individual. (Fact). -Started a GroupMe app that alerts at all hours of the night, even after stores are closed. If you don’t answer, you are told that you are disconnected or lack buy in. This includes Sunday morning during religious activities. (Fact) -Stores aren’t sent merchandise or the hair care lines are incomplete. Told to sell them something else. Customers want “their” product. Then reprimanded for not making sales. If we don’t have it, we can’t sell it. (Fact)

Cons

The daily revenue quota was at times very unrealistic and unattainable. A lot of pressure was put on our team to sell x/dollars per day but sometimes it just wasn't realistic (bad weather, lots of returns some days).

Pros

The people I worked with were always really cool and it was honestly a very easy job.

Cons

Upper level management was too uptight about certain goals that were unrealistic for beauty advisors, but there was never any big repercussions. Too little pay for the amount of work I did.
