Pros

Strong culture of friendly collaboration, laid-back atmosphere, and strong but flexible processes

Cons

Lots of well-meaning but under-resourced internal initiatives always competing for time and energy from a small team.

Pros

I've been at Salted Stone for over 6 years and have seen it grow from a small 10-person agency in Monrovia, CA to a global agency with offices around APAC and EMEA. I'd say the thing that hasn't changed with all the growing pains and changes we've experienced is the culture and the people. I've never worked at a company where your co-workers felt more like family, and I've met some of my best friends working at Salted Stone. Not only are they really great, down-to-earth folks, they're also the most talented group of people I've had the pleasure of working with. The development team has pushed me to grow in so many ways, and I'm so proud of all the innovative ways we approach client projects and solve problems. The HR/Ops team truly cares about you as an individual and encourages you to be an active participant in your growth and the direction of your career. I'm also really proud of how the executive team has always put family first and how our entire team has rallied behind fellow team members through some incredibly tough times. Salted Stone is a great place to work if you're a self-starter and want to be somewhere where your voice is valued, and if you enjoy collaborating with a team that's constantly challenging you to be better.

Cons

I think we still need to get better at over-communicating rather than under-communicating. We're not the best at communicating all the context related to an issue or task, though I do appreciate that I'm comfortable enough to be able to call it out if there are areas we need to do better on.
