Pros
In Korea, you get respect for working at Samsung due to the dominance that the company enjoys in country. The company is above the law and knows it very well. However, this can lead to some personal dilemmas for employees who have outward facing roles.
Cons
Executives are hired based on relationships with current executives, instead of ability. When the executive's lack of ability finally shows, they are moved to do damage at other groups within the company. This is especially demoralizing when that exec is a foreigner and local Korean employees see said exec being chauffeured around Korea in a luxury car.
