Pros

Job security if you have good connections with your manager that most of the employees have rest are already fired ig :P Decent and Timely pay Decent work life balance, no contact after office as you cant take your laptop out of the office. Mostly less work load and same work every year, new product same bugs over and over. Good development work if your manager is pro active enough to snatch tasks from HQ. No ask leaves policy, just say you are on leave 5 mins before coming to office and no one will ask you for a reason. Quarterly office parties Good prices in lucky draws like folds, tvs etc as company is wealthy.

Cons

Strict 8-hour in-office policy with no work-from-home flexibility. Increment growth is relatively limited exceptional hikes are rare, while average increments are usually around 10–11%. Security policies are extremely strict. Personal phones require camera stickers before entering the workplace, and many websites are blocked on company Wi-Fi, including some career portals. Favoritism can sometimes influence opportunities and visibility. A number of managers lack strong technical depth, which can make execution and decision-making frustrating for engineers. At times, visible “effort” and presentation seem to be valued more than actual engineering output. Leave policies are rigid, and different leave categories cannot always be combined flexibly. Internal team switching can depend heavily on managerial approval. If your current manager does not support the move, transitioning teams may become difficult and uncomfortable. Office politics can be intense. There is also a noticeable hierarchy between HQ and Noida teams, where even senior employees in Noida may feel excessive pressure from HQ stakeholders. Over time, many engineers can become too comfortable with the environment, which may slow down growth unless they consistently continue learning outside of work. A significant portion of the work involves bug fixing, maintenance, and refactoring rather than building systems end-to-end. It’s important to keep practicing DSA and system design if you plan to stay interview-ready for future opportunities. With a 2-month notice period, preparation in advance becomes essential. That said, the company does offer stability, decent compensation, and exposure to large scale products. I’ve also met genuinely talented engineers here. This is not meant to disrespect the company or its employees, only to provide an honest perspective for people considering joining. Samsung Noida can be a good experience for some engineers, especially short term, but whether it aligns with your long-term growth goals depends heavily on what kind of engineering work and culture you’re looking for.
