One of a kind job - Assistant Project Manager Samuel Lawrence Foundation Employee Review

Pros

Great work-life balance and a truly unique work environment. If you’re in the office, you’re often treated to (organic!) lunch, and there’s a strong sense of care from both colleagues and management. It’s a place where you can make a real impact in the community, and there’s opportunity to share ideas or take the lead on projects you’re passionate about. It’s collaborative, values-driven, and leaves room for creativity.

Cons

Benefits could definitely be stronger—though the small monthly untaxed stipend is nice. Management can be a bit disorganized at times, and because the team is so small, roles often overlap. Clear job descriptions aren’t always in place, so you’ll need to stay flexible and be open to taking on tasks that may fall outside your official title - sometimes above or below your experience level.

Pros

Samuel Lawrence Foundation is a small team comprised of both remote and in-office employees, each bringing their own talents and strengths to the group. All understand the hustle it takes to make non profit work successful. Ours is a collaborative atmosphere. There is much discussion, strategizing, and respectful sharing of opinions. We learn from each other. Along with the hustle, there is a dose of fun and laughter.

Cons

At times, with multiple people in the office, we may bump elbows. Luckily, there is the flexibility to sit outside or sit with the laptop on the sofa and enjoy the garden view.

Pros

remote, informal, you do really weird things like pickup human ashes at the post office?, if you dont mind being a caretaker and making old people feel good its pretty easy money and pretty flexible, you will meet some crazy people but also some people with reallyyyy cool jobs and a lot of cool knowledge

Cons

although advertised as a science based nothing they do is backed by science, direct evidence or peer reviewed research, president also has a pending workplace sexual assault lawsuit, there are no boundaries between personal and professional life, meetings almost always turn into the boomers with an ego yelling at eachother, there will be no logic when communicating with the president and often the words wont form a sentence
