Pros

The only positive thing that I can recall from working here is that they did pay me on pay day.

Cons

I have never in my life worked for employers and supervisors that intentionally worked to make you feel stupid and belittled. One supervisor in particular was extremely viscous and would get so angry that yelling, screaming, name calling and even putting hands on her subordinates wasn't out of the norm. I was constantly made to feel that I was walking on egg shells. No one even wanted to address work related questions because they were afraid of a blow up. At least twice a week an employee would be in tears due to foul treatment. And never work extra time as a favor/ teamwork in other departments or it will become your new found perminate responsibility. Then if you express your concerns and say why you cannot work those same hours and had only done it to help out, you will likely be told that you're replaceable. If it tells you anything at all then just know that in my short one year span with this company I found myself to have been there the longest.

Pros

Many co-workers are dedicated and hardworking, few Rads are amazing at their job and have a genuine interest in the lives of the employees, you can actively make a difference to some patients

Cons

Your hard work is never enough, no raise, no "atta boys"-- occasionally given ice cream and an open bar at Christmas party to make up for it. Sick days come out of PTO so don't plan sickness and a vacation close together. Patients are corralled like feral cats from dawn to dusk and only those from particular referring doctors are treated with an "above and beyond" courtesy. Radiologists refuse to provide addendums in a timely manner to those who don't meet the criteria of being a VIP patient. Expected to be a team player while those of seniority use whatever excuse is needed to not work an extra shift-- kid, cat, dog, ingrown toenail. Many coworkers would throw you under the bus for a half of a nickle and then have the audacity to ask why you got run over by a bus. Physically, mentally and emotionally draining environment. If you have ever had depression, anxiety, PTSD or suicidal ideation do not apply for ANY job at SLI.
