Pros

Population served... opportunity to positively impact lives. Yearly raises, but I believe they manipulate it after a while if they need you at a certain number based on budget

Cons

ADMIN/LEADERSHIP. Extremely poor leadership 1. Very few to no true leaders, just barely competent bosses making senseless, questionable decisions. They will almost always overstep boundaries and make questionable changes or decisions without prior communication or involvement of those affected. 2. Absolutely little to no support from up top no matter how above and beyond you go. As opposed to recieving acknowledgement or appreciation for all the elaborate/above and beyond production, they knock you and get on your for minor things and will remember that forever. The worst is they will micromanage you for no reason, yet they are the ones that need to be micromanaged based on very poor and negligent decision making and making rules/standards up as they go. 3. Pay. Not competitive despite advertising competitive pay. 4. You will be overworked. They expect your life. Very poor work life balance. 5. With Admin being egregious, corporate amplifies everything as they seem to reflect these exact same issues. 6. Very sketchy practices have occured demanded by upper management in order to meet compliance, that could result in people losing licenses. 7. Favoritism is a big problem from leadership is also a big problem.

Pros

You can only earn two weeks of vacation per year but they let you flex your hours as needed and if you finish all your work you can leave before you hit 40 hours. Not required to clock in or out.

Cons

Everyone is a supervised intern but there is very minimal supervision happening. Leadership is not helpful at all. Constant change to processes and job expectations and the changes are never sufficiently rolled out. New computer systems/programs happen and no training is provided. IT department is the same person as the facilities manager not actually an IT person. Constant chaos. Turnover is very high which adds to the chaos. High rate of burnout. Salary is 20k less here than at comparable inpatient facilities/hospitals. expectations are unclear. Everything that happens here is the opposite of what I learned should happen in my masters program - wildly unethical treatment of residents and staff.
