Pros

Great Opportunity to learn, everyone pushes you to your best. Salary is slightly above market rates.

Cons

Extremely Political and very dependant on Madrid's HQ. Pool technology resources: Old and Slow computers, 10-year old mouses & keyboard, terrible chairs. None has the inclination to help you with your work, apart from giving zero training when you start. Face-timing, the environment is that if your boss is still at the office, you should not leave. Forget about leaving anytime before 8:00PM.

Thank you for taking the time to reflect on your time with us. Whilst its great to hear that you enjoyed learning from the role and your colleagues its disappointing to hear you didn't enjoy some aspects. As you would expect from a Global business we do work closely with our colleagues in Madrid but our UK colleagues are empowered to speak up and suggest new ways of working, processes etc. We are not sure when you worked with us as for the past 12 months most of our colleagues have been home based and not working in an office, so unless someone is working in an area that is supporting customers outside of 9-5, and they are working a pattern to cover these hours, there is certainly no requirement or expectation that any one should stay longer. Our new starters are trained to be able to carry out their roles and we provide the right technology and equipment to do effectively and safety. Thank you once again for your feedback.

Pros

Bonus based on performance. The company always put on events for the employees. Great work environment

Cons

Work long days. And sometimes weekends. Not much room for growth

Pros

Of all the companies I have worked for, Santander has had the strongest training program. The training was comprehensive, well-structured, and especially valuable for employees who are new to the banking industry. Additionally, Santander's ONE software is by far the most intuitive and user friendly banking platform I have used, making it easy to learn and navigate while supporting efficient daily operations.

Cons

Like most retail banking roles, there is a strong sales component. With fewer customers visiting branches due to online banking and ATMs, much of the day is spent making outbound calls to existing clients, trying to set appointments, and push products and services. While I understand the importance of sales in the industry, I personally felt there was significant pressure to prioritize sales goals over relationship building and client service, which I was not comfortable with.
