      Pros

      High rate of pay (compared to other jobs in the area).Opportunity for overtime occasionally.

      Cons

      One of the only ways 'in' to a job at sappi is by way of their temporary summer employment program. If you take a summer job then there's no guarantee that you'll be offered a full time position in the fall so it's risky.

      Pros

      -Decent entry level pay for newly graduated mechanical engineer as a reliability engineer -Operations-Maintenance coordination has some improvements, not sure if they will stick

      Cons

      -Cloquet mill is very disorganized and chaotic -Near constant reactive "firefighting" operations -Maintenance department is not treated as a partner, but rather as a servant -Training in maintenance is a joke
