Pros
Depending on the week you can have a pretty good work life balance. Most judges are nice to work with as well as the coworkers. Decent opportunity for a entry level recent graduate.
Cons
Be prepared to drive your vehicle into the ground all while getting paid ONLY 24 cents/mile (less than half of what the IRS recommends) They only care about quantity of transcripts they produce and not the quality so you can't take much pride in the work you do. There's now a rule that you can't take off for a doctor's appointment on tuesdays or thursdays, not sure if that's even legal. You will be sent all over the state to cover jobs because of huge turnover. No bonus or incentive to put in extra work with minimal salary increases. Be prepared to look for a new job when you start here. No benefits to be found here, they offer a 401k but good luck being able to put anything into it.
