Cons

I was told I would work in Jizan. I took the job because I needed a job and thought living on the Red Sea might make the job bearable. When I got to Doha, I found out I was going to be in Riyadh. I got dumped in an expensive shabby hotel with no transport to work. Sometimes colleagues would take me, but after a falling out couldn’t get to work anymore. It’s unbearably hot and sandy. Many days you cannot see the sun. Also, if you want to leave you will need an exit visa, and the company can deny it to you. A very select type of person seems to enjoy this place. I can’t see how. It’s mind-numbing you boring and the government tracks your activities. It’s just not worth it unless you love heat, sand, and no freedom. I couldn’t stay. I was so lonely and bored I was going to go crazy.
