From the moment Steve Newman (our founder and CEO) told me about his idea for Scalyr, I knew I had to be a part of it. Numerous friends had pitched me other the years, but Steve's was the first that hit my three requirements -- a great leadership team, a great idea, and a great market opportunity. Within a few months, I had jumped ship from Google (after 8 years there), and joined Steve. Scalyr has executed on building a very successful company. The part I'm most proud of is the culture -- we are all working on incredibly interesting technical challenges, but do it while enjoying what we do and who we work with. Steve's personality is embedded in the culture of the company, which is a great thing.
