Good work environment, Friendly and inviting Co-Workers, good energy within the workspace itself and would choose to work there again.

Overall there is really not many bad things to say about this place, the only Con I would be able to say is to stop working for them as conditions are good.

Interesting projects and variable daily routine

This company likes to portray itself as a pillar for the Gainesville business community, but don’t be fooled: Scherer Construction cultivates your typical good ol’ boy environment where stereotyping and under-the-surface hostility is accepted, and encouraged. The projects are interesting and if you get the right manager, you can get a good start to your career here. But don’t stay long. Their staff is full of conservatives who openly espouse violent beliefs about people not like them. One “relationship manager” even advertised that she was looking forward to “car bowling” with peaceful protestors one weekend, because the Florida governor apparently said it’s ok to hit people with your car. Supporting that kind of dangerous attitude and letting it spread among your staff just doesn’t sit right. If you’re not conservative - if you’re moderate, even - you’re not safe working here.
