Pros

You are able to work independently; you are pretty much left alone to do your job. The benefits are decent.

Cons

I agree completely with the comments from July of 2013 – “...women are paid and treated poorly”. I have never been at a job where I felt so underappreciated, undervalued, under-utilized, and suppressed. Most of the engineers and field personnel are decent people, but there is definitely a chauvinistic attitude about the superiority of the engineers that is pervasive in management and the culture of the company.

Schnabel Response

Schnabel Foundation Company strives to be fair to all of its employees and this is shown by the longevity of its employees. Schnabel Foundation Company has individuals, both men and women that have been with the company for 20, 30 and even 40 years. This is a true testament to the management and their ability to motivate and incentivize its employees. We are currently planning to bring the entire support staff from all around the country to our corporate headquarters for meetings to discuss best practices as well as a fun team building event. We value our administrative and operations staff and feel that they are a vital gear in the company's success.

Pros

Every person contributes the companies success. What you do matters. It is a great place for young engineers to learn from more experienced engineers. Flexible work hours and can work from home part time.

Cons

Opportunity to move up in the company is somewhat limited.
