Principals have a hard time letting younger staff expand and grow into roles with more responsibility. Offices are set on specific types of geotech work they pursue. Limits your ability to learn the whole spectrum of the profession. Self insured/high deductible health care plan is terrible. Amounts to catastrophe insurance. Company works on challenging projects - but you may not if you're in the wrong office. If you are good at something it's likely that you'll be working on that same sort of task all the time.
