Pros

Benefits package is pretty decent.

Cons

DECEPTIVE PRACTICES. As a new/newer driver, you do NOT want to apply here. Bait and switch on hiring processes. New(er) CDL drivers are recruited in droves, but this company does not clearly outline what's needed during the onboarding process, until something is missed. People are not trained "The Schneider Way," they're EXPECTED to already know, despite being advised new hires would be trained to Schneider standards during the two weeks of on campus orientation and one week mentored driving experience. First week in-cab driving mentors are hit or miss for actual instructor capabilities or proper advisement of "The Schneider Way." Instead of actually guiding drivers to do better and given steps to improve, drivers are terminated. Recruiters will tell applicants that Schneider is more than happy work with you to be properly trained, but in actuality, they prefer to terminate. Recruiters will also quote a higher rate of pay for deliveries; however, during onboarding drivers are informed they will be paid less than half the amount originally quoted by the recruiter. Deceptive practices to get driver on board, bait, switch, and terminate. That's the Schneider Way.

Pros

Health benefits are decent but no time to use them.

Cons

They don’t take care of their trucks and when they break down and you’re at home they take their time trying to figure out what’s wrong so they don’t have to pay you. I’ve now gone a week without pay because they refused to look at a problem that I brought to their attention with the truck for weeks and now that I’m home and took it to a local place I don’t get pay and now my family has to suffer.
