• Company culture feels fragmented and, at times, competitive in an unproductive way. Collaboration is limited, and many people appear to be focused on protecting themselves rather than working together. • I have heard words like 'bullying' and 'toxic' from others. • Onboarding is minimal to nonexistent. New hires are expected to figure out processes independently by digging through Notion pages or old Slack threads, and asking questions is sometimes discouraged. • Leadership is lacking in several areas. In my experience on the Commercial side, there was little to no guidance, feedback, or support. Emotional intelligence and people management skills were noticeably absent, which made it difficult to grow or feel supported. • A blame-oriented environment. Mistakes often lead to finger-pointing rather than problem-solving, especially from management. • Multiple layoffs and frequent strategic shifts have created confusion, low morale, and a sense of instability. This has led to siloed behaviour where individuals feel pressured to prove their worth instead of collaborating as a team. • Operational infrastructure is underdeveloped. Core backend systems — for example, billing — lack maturity and significantly increase the workload for customer-facing teams. • Product direction is unclear and overly centralized. With no true product organization, decision-making rests heavily with the CEO and COO. Feedback loops are weak, and suggestions shared publicly are often dismissed abruptly, creating an environment where constructive input doesn’t feel valued. If the job market were stronger, I believe turnover would be significantly higher. Many talented, hardworking, and underappreciated employees remain simply because external opportunities are limited at the moment, not because they feel supported or valued by the organization. Because of these challenges, I wouldn’t recommend joining unless you’re in a position where you urgently need a role. It may be worth checking back in 6–12 months, as meaningful improvements could occur if the company brings in the right leadership and invests in rebuilding its culture and processes.
