Pros
I have worked with Scott for 6 mons. I continue to be impressed with the load the organization is willing to bear with me as I ramp. From what I understand, the company actually pays the 'mentors' a sum so that the mentee never feels like they are putting the mentor out with questions, etc. I continue to discover these small, thoughtful examples of how Scott is set up for organizational success. They continue to show integrity by demonstrating proof of their claims of having a "long-term view" when it comes to employees AND clients. I would comfortably and confidently deem this a "safe work zone." Most everyone feels comfortable stepping out, taking chances to learn and grow without fear of backlash from leadership or peers. This "all in it together" mentality certainly comes from the financial incentives of the ESOP, but also a carefully crafted culture that knows we can go further together. There is immense opportunity for hungry, proactive and long-term-minded people within Scott.
Cons
The culture here can be described as "ownership." The pros are what I listed above. On the other hand, if you want a job where someone tells you exactly what to do and keeps checking in to make sure it is done, this is not the environment for you. Scott provides immense resources and support, but it's up to you to press the accelerator and go.
