It's great to work with all the different people. Perfect for someone who loves working outdoors. It's very hard work that pays off with results and raises. Excellent 401k and match. Great training program. If you love to sweat and work harder than you ever have in your life, this is for you.
Cons
High turnover, I was passed over for promotion as an older female for a young kid out of college and now everything is a mess. Also, Scott's Miracle Gro should work Merchandisers in pairs. Merchandisers should never work alone for multiple reasons that I tried to express to management but they wouldn't listen. One of those reasons being to avoid injuries. I incurred three minor injuries on the job that I had to seek treatment and physical therapy for. If I had a partner in all three situations, it could have been avoided. I felt like as a female, I was not heard in this company. Also, their company policy states that we get two paid "volunteer days" per year. I am a volunteer with a few different organizations. When Hurricane Michael hit us as a Category 3 here in Southwest Georgia I was volunteering non stop. I contacted Scott's to see if I could at least get my two "volunteer days" and they refused to give them to me. I was asked to return to this position after contracting covid and I chose not to.
