Pros

Experience learning EMR management and learning ins and outs of the medical field from a caregivers perspective

Cons

Poor pay and can be long hours if your doctor works longer hours, although Scribeamerica pushes back on overtime. The company exploits the fact students and recent grads aimed at med school are primed to accept low pay and volunteer in order to gain applicable experience. The medical field makes enough to compensate properly.
