Pros
I made some friends there and learned a few new skills.
Cons
Pay is less than the going rate. Raises are tiny and not at all based on performance. That was really frustrating for me since I work hard and do my best while others sit around chatting. There are no perks unless you count funeral arrangements. None of this will change until the company goes under new ownership. I heard some pretty nasty stories through the grapevine about how they treated some people they needed really terribly and then couldn't get them to come back - strange how that works, doesn't it? I wasn't treated with respect here. The dress code is so strict, and the tiny break-room doesn't really serve everyone who works there. Don't worry though, they've built a brand new building right next door - and rented it out to another company. If there's ever an earthquake you'll die in a pile of rubble while the people who work for that lucky company watch from their windows. Meanwhile there is no privacy. If you're having a bad day and need a moment or just want to make a private phone call there is nowhere to get away from it all. Don't worry though, every month they have birthday donuts. In spite of the low pay there are a lot of people who have been there a long time and they've formed some rather tight cliques. If you happen to step on anyone's toes you're automatically the odd man out. There are some really rough personalities so watch out. I thought part of acting professionally was treating others with respect but you'll find that many of the managers and long-time employees abuse their status or seniority and treat others terribly. This is a stodgy old company and if you don't fit in with their old-fashioned point of view you are in for a rough ride.
