Pros
Flexibility to move between different departments, flexible schedule and good benefits. Good economic outlook compared to many other municipal/county governments.
Cons
Favoritism and unrealistic department goals that are too hard to revise/update. Salary freezes happen more often than in the private sector, and minimal raises that aren't competitive with those in the private sector.
