Pros

- if they like you, culture is great - you will learn a lot of hard and soft skills - unlimited PTO is (mostly) respected - fast pace (good if you like that) - a lot of very smart people doing very cool things

Cons

- management is hit or miss, some are great but others treat their job like a high school popularity contest - if you make a mistake, prepare to have your every move scrutinized until you leave - be ready to have extreme emotional investment in your work and working relationships - work/life balance is not great, you are expected to prioritize work if it’s in the best interest of the company (even if you’re on PTO or worked over 40 hours already) recommend: read through the negative reviews, they have the same themes over 10 years & give good indication of the experience for the average person

Pros

Seer is made for a very specific type of person: Smart, caring, organized, and collaborative. If you fit here, you REALLY fit. I will admit, the negative reviews had me a bit apprehensive, but I cannot emphasize this enough: You don’t know you’ll like or dislike something unless you give it a chance. And, you should give Seer a chance. You might just learn something incredible. Because of this, I’m over the moon I chose Seer. - exceptional benefits / pay / bonus structure connected to incentivized engagement - brilliant people who care and want to help - unlimited PTO that you’re encouraged to use - Office politics and all that other stuff is not tolerated; the company has some of the best culture I’ve been a part of in a long time - the work can be difficult, but only for short bursts, most of the time it is (75% of the month) straightforward work and innovation. One week will be hectic and then it’s smooth sailing. A very good balance. I used to be overworked every single day. Not here. Managers are here to support you. First company I’ve been at in over a decade where this is the case.

Cons

None at this time! I would say the first 90 days is a learning curve, then it gets exponentially easier. And, everyone answers your questions in the blink of an eye.
