Pros

Before listing key points, the short of it is: if you can't crack 10+ successful transfers per week you really shouldn't be trying to work in sales. Plenty of customer service jobs around that pay the same, just with not as great hours. Get to Statement Rep / beyond, or get out of the field. It isn't bad luck, it's you. - There can be a real sense of camaraderie while a lead gen; grunts in the trenches banding together. Lots of lead gens = lots of different folk to meet and befriend - Games/challenges are often fun - The location is easily accessible by metro and in a nice spot; it's not a skyscraper, you can walk around with plenty options on what you want to do with your lunch break - A couple of the managers are really kind and fun to be around - Coffee/tea, fruit and toast daily along with pool/foosball if you're into that - There are windows, compared to other offices with none - If you're an actual salesperson, you will be recognized with opportunities to advance for your talent; but you're only as good as your last week - Weekly pay = less deducted per check from your net - If you show you're worth keeping around, they will be more understanding with you directly (generally speaking / less rude if you're late up the elevator, less harsh words / energy directed at you etc.) - Decent benefits package - Not being on the dialer as a SR lets you control your workflow; if you're self-organized and know how to work your CRM, it can be actually fun - If you don't speak French in Montreal, and have no credentials aside from phone jobs, you will be given a shot here (but again, no use if you're not built for the work itself)

Cons

- The Music Sucks So Bad, and is really way too loud. Good luck if you're sat directly below one of the speakers - Incredibly toxic work environment; if you make it past training, expect to see and hear all sorts of grossness. If you're a sociopath and/or narcissist, you'll fit right in - All but a couple statement reps are cliquey and cutthroat; no one wants to be demoted back down to lead generation - Rather questionable how some people keep their advanced position given their numbers........... - Management uses fear tactics - Lead Gen is one of the most banal, repetitive jobs in existence - If you have the skills to do statement rep, you should be elsewhere earning properly in a less toxic place for less toxic people - Not great if you're trying to avoid party culture
