For one earning potential was grossly misrepresented in recruiting and into training, my recruiter claimed "Our top AEP agents make $60K+ and MOST agents will make $25k-$30k during AEP" - this was not true in any manner in fact MOST agents barley made any commission let alone the numbers they claim. Secondly Compensation was not revealed to us until the week before AEP and none of the trainers would take any compensation questions until then, this is indicative of a bait and switch, the compensation is very complicated and based off tiers which are not necessarily based on your results. You can also be docked for things in which you are unaware of as no one (until I asked another agent) will tell you to keep an eye on your compliance reports, many agent where $70 PER incident even if out of their control. The ongoing theme through training is the "phone will be ringing off the hook" - this was also false there where times where an hour would go by with no calls - thus no opportunity to sell and that effects your tier. They will also tell you that you will be licensed throughout the US (more leads) you will not I started at 15 states and ended with 17. I have never worked so hard and made so little, I literally made more working with Uber and I am a seasoned sales professional who has made $100k+ elsewhere with no problem.
