Pros

For me, Selectra is a perfect fit at the right moment of my career. I am gaining the knowledge and experience I was missing, and I am extremely happy with what I am learning, alongside professionals from whom I want to learn. I have confirmed to myself, thanks to Selectra, how important the working environment and corporate culture are to me. The transparent, flexible, international and innovative working atmosphere within this company appeals to me enormously. I notice that this makes me feel that I am able to integrate well into the company.

Cons

Since I started, I have seen many people leave my team; in fact, someone has left the company every month. My impression of the company as a whole is that most people stay in their business positions for a maximum of 1-4 years. In Sales, it is even shorter. Only several senior managers stay longer from my point of view. The reasons varied, but it mainly boiled down to there being more career opportunities at other companies, which also offered a better financial future. I am very happy at Selectra and would like to stay for years to come. I also want to show my dedication to the company and keep learning what the company wants me to learn. But if the company does not make sufficient use of my talents and I am not able to play to my strengths at some point. Then I would remain stuck in the current area of expertise, whereas I want to keep growing. In that case, I will simply have to take responsibility and look elsewhere, against my will. But in order to pay off my high student debt in my home country and to save for a house and a child in the future, I will have to make a rational choice at some point. Just like all the others I see leaving.
