      Very rough transition, but future looks bright - Software Developer Semios Employee Review

      Pros

      Company has recently pivoted to SaaS after not finding a way to make IoT and mating disruption profitable. Transition was rough and many people got burnt. Still, things are finally looking positive. Work is interesting, management is flexible, option to work from home full time. Pay is decent in Australia/NZ; Canadian staff are not doing as well but management seems to be working on that.

      Cons

      Old poorly designed Ruby on Rails monolith still dominates the codebase. Makes the job difficult at times.

      Pros

      When the money was flowing, this was a great place to work and learn with bright colleagues and a fun environment.

      Cons

      Never a viable business. And eventually the money ran out. Seems impossible to hire capable leadership at this point with a ton of turnover and endless Game of Thones stuff. Employees spend more time worrying about the next restructuring” than doing their jobs. Don’t know why Glassdoor is so far behind: Gilbert hasn’t been CEO for 4-5 years.
