Pros

I enjoy working at Semrush so far. The product itself is genuinely interesting and constantly evolving. The people here are both smart and friendly, and the overall culture is supportive and collaborative. One of the standout perks is the flexibility to work fully remotely, which is great, but I also have to say the offices are fantastic — with free breakfasts and plenty of snacks.

Cons

Compensation is around average or slightly below. There is a "flexi benefit," but it can only be spent on things like sport, wellness, or entertainment — it's not real money, which limits its value. Additionally, career advancement paths are not well-defined. It's difficult to predict how your role or salary might evolve over time, which can be frustrating.

Dear Colleague, You’re right—the Flexi Benefit isn’t direct cash, but it was intentionally designed to support wellbeing and can be used for a wide range of things: hobbies, sports, wellness, medicine, and more. Regarding compensation, we regularly review market benchmarks to keep our salaries competitive, and we feel confident about where we stand. We truly value reviews that point out both strengths and areas for improvement—so thank you! Let’s keep growing and reaching new heights together! Yours, the Semrush Team

Pros

Very thorough onboarding and enablement process. Great culture and people. Excellent company & team communication.

Cons

There's a lot to learn, which isn't a con - but something good to know.

Pros

The product is an industry leader, making it exciting to work on. The teams are filled with incredibly smart, creative, and collaborative people. Benefits and remote flexibility are solid, and there are good opportunities to learn SEO and digital marketing deeply.

Cons

The work culture can occasionally lean toward working harder than playing hard especially as the company scales.
