Pros
From my experience I have seen a real effort to bring systems to the forefront and make management decisions transparent.
Cons
The large geography that has to be supported does make it difficult to harmonize all aspects of the business. There are quality initiatives that have been launched and assets assigned to activities that should help in these areas so that the experience is the same system wide.
