Sentry Airheads - Chemical Applications Specialist Sentry Air Systems Employee Review

Pros

For learning the skills in a sales role, you can make decent commission but this will stagnate after a couple years. You can basically do what you want since there is no supervision and there is no system in place for accountability. I usually wrapped up "work "by 10AM and looked at other jobs or earned some extra money tutoring students online. Super easy gig.

Cons

CEO routinely has a quick temper and will be your buddy one day, then will ignore you for weeks or months at a time without notice. After getting to know him, I realized he was doing me a favor, so I generally preferred it when he would scowl at me and slam his door shut without a word. To his credit, for a thin-skinned introvert with outdated ideas and a fragile ego, his moderate success is astonishing. The work is not challenging at all but their filtration systems leak so you will have practice handling angry customers. Hit it and quit it!

Pros

Management is good, Benefits are great, generally good people to work with, company events, great PTO, and probably some other things I am forgetting.

Cons

Not a whole lot of room for upward movement, and a few bad eggs.

Pros

SAS truly cares about you not only as an employee but also as a person. Management has the unique ability of finding your talents and putting you on the right path to see growth opportunities. The vibe throughout the office is always positive and everyone is always willing to help you with any questions or concerns you may have. The President takes an active role in the day to day activities so you don't feel like he is the Wizard of Oz controlling things but never seen. The President as well as Management are very approachable and always open to new ideas no matter how big or small. There is a big emphasis on work life balance so the doors open at 8:00am and everyone is out the door at 4:30pm on the dot. Never work weekends.

Cons

SAS is always growing so employee responsibilities may change from time to time depending on the needs of the company (I personally prefer this so that I do not become stagnant but could be a con for someone who is uncomfortable with change.)
