Pros

Fellow team members are great to work with and fun to be around. Work type changes from day to day, keeps you sharp. New senior management team seems to be driving the company to success. Reasonable benefits including the standards: Health, Life, Stock Options, 401k, Vacation, Paid Holidays, and paid sick time. Some really talented Engineers that actually care. Managemenet at times will listen to feedback and make changes. Amazing home grown CRM - it is one of the best I have ever worked with to date. Flexible and able to help our customers in a true small company style.

Cons

You must guard your personal time closely and stand up for your rights. When working out of state, the PPO plan is not all that good. Not all managers are created equally, true at all companies I have ever worked. QA reports to Engineering...the old Fox running the Hen house...this is the biggest problem our company faces and cause a large number of quality issues. Lack of a CTO and unwillingness of senior management to promote within when we have several very talented individuals that could easily fill that roll.

Pros

A lot of guidance and a great experience while in college. It provided me with a strong background in high tech and I had no complaints. They also had healthy snacks which was a plus.

Cons

Slightly unstable during acquisition

Pros

Sepaton is currently going through a major cultural transformation, the greatest change for the better that I have seen in my years at the company. For too many years each group was an independent silo with little or no cross group communication. It was almost like there were separate companies. Under the new leadership of the CEO and the SVP of products there is much more communications and collaboration. The leader of the product group has fostered a new spirit of teamwork, openness, trust, and respect for everyone. He has formed good linkages with other groups and we hear great feedback from SEs in the field and customers on how the product is doing in the real world. While in the past ideas were shot down, I now feel heard and am encouraged to come forward with new ideas even if they were unpopular in the past. The new strategy has been a long time coming, but it is promising and will give me the opportunity to learn new technologies.

Cons

The workload continues to be difficult as we are supporting some very large customers and a demanding OEM partner. A few more people in some key areas would certainly help, but if that is not possible then management needs to prioritize better because it is just not possible to do everything well.
