Pros

There are some fun, very talented people so the potential of learning is great. You can get involved in a variety of isuues that will help broaden your knowledge of business. Pay is finally compatible with other high-tech firms in the area.

Cons

This place has some big issues in execution. Lack of management involvement unless it is to deliver pain. Some of the bad corporate behavior has improved with the exit of a very controling VP. The VP encouraged poor behavior through their example, criticizing peers, subordinates and seniors in front of everyone. On the corporate operations level over the last four years it went from poor tgo worse to WTF. No CTO, no COO (title only) , no HR, weak engineering management, weak executive level management in CS, No Mfg Mgmt, No Program Management. Partners walking away, Sales team frustrated and money drying up. A lot of critical resources have given notice or looking.

Pros

A lot of guidance and a great experience while in college. It provided me with a strong background in high tech and I had no complaints. They also had healthy snacks which was a plus.

Cons

Slightly unstable during acquisition

Pros

Sepaton is currently going through a major cultural transformation, the greatest change for the better that I have seen in my years at the company. For too many years each group was an independent silo with little or no cross group communication. It was almost like there were separate companies. Under the new leadership of the CEO and the SVP of products there is much more communications and collaboration. The leader of the product group has fostered a new spirit of teamwork, openness, trust, and respect for everyone. He has formed good linkages with other groups and we hear great feedback from SEs in the field and customers on how the product is doing in the real world. While in the past ideas were shot down, I now feel heard and am encouraged to come forward with new ideas even if they were unpopular in the past. The new strategy has been a long time coming, but it is promising and will give me the opportunity to learn new technologies.

Cons

The workload continues to be difficult as we are supporting some very large customers and a demanding OEM partner. A few more people in some key areas would certainly help, but if that is not possible then management needs to prioritize better because it is just not possible to do everything well.
