Pros
Some coworkers are pleasant to work with.
Cons
Sepax Technologies is the cheapest company I have ever worked for. Not only do they buy second hand laptops, which leak battery fluid all over their workers, they also have some of the lowest pay rates inside the industry. I was doing the work of five separate positions, including AP, QC, purchasing, shipping and accounting, and of course they paid me for none of those positions, just my accounting assistant role. When my workload became too much and I asked for some help, they denied that request without giving me a reason. That didn’t shock me since the majority of their cheap labor is fulfilled by recent graduates who are hoping to get a sponsorship from the company via H1B visa. Seeing that the company is a Chinese based company, they prey on these students since they know that the student will work their hardest in hopes of gaining the sponsorship needed to stay in the country. Little do they know that the company has no plans on helping them after their time there is over and they will not sponsor them no matter how hard or how well they worked for the company. They are taking advantage of this law to the fullest extent and giving these recent graduates false hope. The HR department is chalk full of employees that will lie straight to your face and they will smile while doing it. I referred an employee to this company and it was clearly stated on their bulletin board that anyone that refers an employee and they pass their 3 month probationary period, will receive a $500 bonus. The employee that I referred just recently passed their probation review, yet I was not given my bonus and was told that I will not get. I gave them a 10 day notice when I was quitting to leave for another job, but since one day was a holiday they marked it as a 9 day notice and now all of a sudden there is a company policy that states an employee must give a 10 day notice to receive any bonus that was due to them. This is just another example of the HR department lying through their teeth and making up policy changes on the fly. This is by far the worst HR department that I have worked with. I would never recommend this company to anyone ever again and if you are thinking of applying to Sepax Technologies, please remember that you will be paid well below the market rate, every manager there will lie straight to your face and when you do ask for a rate increase, they will drag you along for months with a different excuse each time you bring it up. Avoid Sepax at all costs!
