Restaurant work is really grueling. Most customers are nice, but some make you wonder about what type of parents they had.

They pay pretty well with mediocre benefits

When they hire you, they will make you a lot of promises they have no intention of keeping. If you push back and try to hold them to their word, they’ll tell you to suck it up. Then, regardless of how well the restaurant is running, the happiness of the staff or how good your sales numbers are, they’ll fire you if you don’t play ball.
