Pros

Servicenow has the best in market culture, the VIBE of working here can only be understood once you join. Something or the other keeps happening and your colleages and managers will always be nice, helpful and supportive and it comes right from the top management. In terms of growth, it is the best of both worlds, neither too sluggish for a typical corporate, nor too hustly bustly like a startup. If you are hungry, you can grow well, there is a good respect of how you want to keep your balance. Note: Despite the long list of cons (Because I felt it is important to raise them), for me the culture and the vibe pretty much makes up for it, and I would definitely recommend. I am just taking away one star from the rating, this is really an amazing and underrated company.

Cons

Engineering Specific Cons: Lot of the App Engineering teams work on top of Platform and provided set of APIs and never get to understand full aspect of the product development. To rephrase the same: If you are in App Eng - you will get to design applications, but your design element will be platform provided abstractions and recommended best practices - and not raw design components. It's a SaaS product, and not a single or multitenant application so less focus on scale. Overall Cons: Compensation just better than average but not top of the market. Benefits are not cash oriented but more like subscriptions which not everyone uses. Example: Instead of health related subscriptions, I feel people enjoy more if employee are reimbursed for the same amount and they can choose the services of their choice. Pantry is good but comparing with peer group companies: Lunch and Cab. -2 major benefits are missing.

Pros

ServiceNow had a differentiated platform and products. Early on the culture had a startup energy that was rare for a company this size collaborative teams, ownership, and a sense that people actually cared about outcomes. Working with large enterprise customers on complex workflows was interesting work.

Cons

The ServiceNow I joined was a different company. As headcount increased, so did the bureaucracy, layers, and friction that rewarded politics over execution. The layoffs of the last few years were handled poorly little transparency, inconsistent communication, and decisions that felt made far above with little thought for the people affected. The "cost optimization" messaging rang hollow against continued executive spending. For a company that sells workflow and people process tools, the irony of a chaotic RIF wasn't lost on anyone in the field or on customers. Leadership political dynamics were real. The right team, the right manager you had cover. Performance alone didn't protect you.
