      Micromanagement Lack of autonomy in the workplace Repetitive and unproductive daily meetings Overtime not compensated Espoused cultural values Office politics - everyone sucks up to the CEO to get promoted, you aren’t promoted based on your hard work Not appreciated for work - you are taken for granted Possibility for upward advancement is very slim

      Pros

      1. Really dedicated, hardworking, capable people 2. Focus on culture and values 3. Lots of autonomy and opportunity for personal growth 4. Cool product / service - massive opportunity to disrupt an oldschool market

      Cons

      1. High paced, intense environment - not for everyone but I love working with a team that wants to win 2. We're a startup so we're figuring things out as we go. As a result, not a lot of structure in some of the things I used to take for granted in corporate (e.g., performance reviews, admin support)
