Pros

Nice managers and co-workers and they offer an NBHWC exam training program as part of new hire training.

Cons

Call center type environment (the computer system placed all outbound calls and we also took inbound calls - one day I handled over 400 calls which included successful coaching calls as well as other call types), Did not require a minimum session length of 20 minutes per session (that's the NBHWC standard, as their job training staff informed my training class, lol), required KPI for down-time after a successful coaching call was 5 minutes maximum - that included putting in our coaching note - so very little to no time to use the restroom, make sure we're in the "coaching mindset" for our next session, or recover from a difficult call. We were also required to either work multiple coaching contracts OR serve in a dual role being a coach as well as a member services representative (we did not get to choose and they made the choice randomly as far as I know). In short, it was a nightmare job except for the fact that every person I interacted with there was very nice, with only one exception. Regarding their NBHWC exam training: either this company didn't follow the training program curriculum they presented to the NBHWC, or the NBHWC is approving substandard training programs. What a mess. I had tech issues with their systems over and over and over when trying to one program they used and many of my co-workers confirmed that they also had tech issues frequently, even though I was told the issues I experienced were out of the norm by IT and my manager. Benefits were not good. IT was outsourced to another country, except for the head of IT who was unpleasant to deal with -unprofessional and condescending. I had another coaching job that paid the same, however their benefits were amazing: they paid for 100% of my husband's health, dental, and vision insurance and for majority of those same costs for me. They gave us a quarterly wellness stipend, I believe it was $300 at one point. They paid for our cell phone and internet service. They provided brand new Apple laptops. And their tech worked seamlessly - only had to contact IT one time in the entire time I worked there and it was a very minor issue. Sidenote: Dr. Oz was a co-founder of this company (along with Jeff Arnold, their CEO)
